Dracaena Reflexa is native to Mozambique and Madagascar, but its beauty has earned it a place in homes around the world. Many people are familiar with this plant as “Song of India”; a small tree from the Asparageceaea family famous for the yellow stripe that forms on its leaves, but there is more to this plant than meets the eye.
Not only is this plant exquisitely beautiful, but it also happens to be a powerful purifier that's capable of removing formaldehyde, carbon dioxide, and trichloroethylene from the air.
Song of India is an incredibly easy plant to care for and requires less water than the majority of indoor plants. Feed your Dracaena Reflexa once every two weeks, or when the soil is completely dry. These plants are drought resistant but appreciate slightly moist soil.
Though it is beautiful and beneficial, Dracaena Reflexa is also toxic to cats and dogs. If you have pets, make sure to keep this plant out of reach.
If you're looking for a plant that's beautiful, easy to care for, and purifies the air in the room, Dracaena Reflexa is a lovely choice.
