The Rose Quartz Cactus is the succulent of your dreams, combining ease of care and a compact frame to create the perfect, low key houseplant. Its name comes from the brilliant red flowers that it produces, which intermingle with the plant and present a much-appreciated color contrast. This member of the cactus family thrives when placed in window sills, and the more sunlight it enjoys each day the better! Echinopsis cactus care is a piece of cake, so long as you remember to water it occasionally and offer cactus fertilizer during the late spring and summer months.

The Rose Quartz Cactus is a classic cacti houseplant that adjusts to nearly any environment without experiencing serious detrimental effects. Native to South America, this cactus is used to arid environments that would provide it with a sparse amount of nutrients and water. As a result, many cacti are drought-resistant and require little to no assistance during the growing season. However, fertilizer is recommended in the spring and summer as a means of encouraging your Rose Quartz to meet its full potential.
The Peanut Cactus, as it is also known, is best characterized by its flowers, which are rose-colored and usually possess light, purple accents. These flowers grow profusely from both the soil and the stems of the cactus directly, reaching up to 3 inches in diameter when the plant is taken care of properly. Much like the rest of the cactus, these flowers grow upright and out into different directions, blending well with the green and white colors presented by the rest of the cactus.
Cactus rose plants in general are considered to be natural air purifiers, making them the ideal addition to any home. They are capable of absorbing many of the airborne impurities found in the average household, and when bunched together, they become even more effective. Many people buy several cacti at once to form a collection of strong air purifiers!
While the Rose Quartz Cacti is non-toxic to both humans and animals, its pointed spines can still cause irritation when brushed or consumed. Be careful when handling your cactus, and keep it away from any pets that might be interested in it!
